1860 PA CENSUS - Albert Hoge [Hogue], age 5, b. Ohio, is enumerated with Findley, age 40, occupation dentist, b. Ohio, and Rachel, age 26, b. Pennsylvania.    
1870 OH CENSUS - Albert E. Hogue, age 14, b. Ohio, is enumerated with Finley, age 57, occupation jeweler, b. Ohio, and Isabelle, age 38, b. Pennsylvania, along with Lydia, age 12, b. Pennsylvania, Parker, age 8, b. Ohio, Sarah, age 4, b. Pennsylvania, and Mary, age 2, b. Pennsylvania.  
1900 PA CENSUS - Albert E. Hogue, age 44, occupation day laborer, b. Pennsylvania, is enumerated with his wife of 3 years Sarah E., age 33, mother of 1, b. Jan 1867 in Pennsylvania, along with Annie N., age 2 months, b. Nov 1900 in Pennsylvania.
1910 PA CENSUS - Albert E. Hogue, age 53, widowed, occupation engine mechanic, b. Ohio [or Pennsylvania?], is enumerated with Isabelle, age 35, single, b. Ohio, and Anna M., age 10, b. Ohio. 

NOTE - according to descendants, the name of his mother, listed on the death certificate, is incorrect. She is identified as (on the DC) as Isabell Simcox, which was actually the name of the mother of his half-brother, Frank Hogue, who was the informant for the DC (and 20 years younger than Albert). Albert's father, Findley Hogue was married first to a Rachel [last name not known], believed to be the mother of Albert.
DISCREPANCY - his DC and most of his census records give the birthplace as Pennsylvania, but there are a couple of census records, most notably his earliest (1860 when he is 5 years old), which give Ohio as his birthplace.
DEATH CERTIFICATE: 
OSBH DC (Polk County 1915) #1460 - Albert E. Hogue, male, engineer, widowed, b. 3 Sept 1855 in Pennsylvania [Ohio?], d. 14 Apr 1915 in Dallas, Oregon (Orchard Ave.) at the age of 59 yrs 7 m's 11 days, name of father Findley Hogue (b. Pennsylvania), maiden name of mother Isabell Simcox (b. Pennsylvania), interment Brown cem; informant Frank E. Hogue of Dallas.

NOTE - Frank Hogue the informant (on the death certificate) was a younger half-brother of Albert; his family appears in 1910 census of North Dallas, Polk Co; they later moved to Prosser, Washington, where Frank died 5 May 1956; his death certificate, as indexed on FamilySearch, gives his father's name as Finnley Hogue.
