Byron J. Purvine, Dec 20, 1907-March 15, 1992

Byron J. Purvine, 84, of Salem died Sunday. He was born in Portland and had lived in Salem on the family farm, the Seven Oaks Farm of Zena. The Purvine family came to the valley in 1845. He was a military veteran, serving as an airplane machinist. Survivors include his wife, Etta M.; son, Laurence R. of Salem; two grandchildren; and one step-grandchild. Graveside services will begin at 2 pm Wednesday in Zena Cemetery, Salem. Arrangements are by Virgil T. Golden mortuary.
