OBITUARY: 

Walter Macfarlane, 73, 190 Superior St S, a retired Salem insuranceman, died Thursday at a Salem hospital. Survivors include widow Frue, Salem, and a son Dr James Macfarlane, Portland. A memorial service will be held 1:30 pm Saturday at Spring Valley Church.
