Her mother's wedding locket accented the bridal costume of Nancy Louise VanWinkle when she exchanged vows with Rollin Anthony Beaver in an evening ceremony July 30 in Trinity Methodist Church.
Mrs. Lewis C. VanWinkle was honor attendant for the bride. Mrs. Christopher Metcalf, Port Angeles, Wash., Mrs. Betty Jeane Gibson, Wenatchee, Wash., and Mrs. Woodrow Wilson also attended the bride. Jill and Katie VanWinkle served as flowergirls, April Metcalf carried the rings and Soloist was Ginger Sage.
T. Randolph Miles, Salem, was best man. Ushering were Lewis C. VanWinkle, Paul Allen, Salem, and John Allen, Boise, Idaho.
The bride studied in Germany and Austria and was graduated from Willamette and Washington universities. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis C. VanWinkle.
The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rollin Beaver, Salem, received his bachelor and law degrees from Willamette University.
The couple will live in Portland.

OBITUARY: 

A head-on collision Friday night near Maple Valley took the life of a Portland attorney, the State Patrol reported. Rollin Beaver, 40, was killed at 10:30 p.m. when the car he was driving was struck by one driven by Terry D. Culp, 34, of 28020 199th Ave. S.E., Kent. Culp and Beaver's wife, Nancy, were taken to Harborview Medical Center with internal injuries. Both were listed yesterday in satisfactory condition.

Funeral for Rollin Anthony Beaver, 40, an office manager for a Portland law firm, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Zena Cemetery at Salem. Interment will follow at Zena Cemetery. Beaver, 40, of 5901 N.E. 25th Ave.,. was killed in an automobile accident Friday in Seattle.
Beaver, a native of Salem, was the office manager of the law firm of McEwen, Newman, Hanna and Gisvold. He had been living inthe Portland area for six years. Beaver received his law degree from Willamette University in Salem and a master's degree in business from Oregon State University.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rollin Beaver of INdependence; and a sister, Carolyn Metcalf of Port Angeles, Wash.

Rollin Anthony Beaver, 40, former Salem resident, died Saturday from injuries sustained in an (sic) Seattle automobile accident.
A Salem native, he is past president of the Chemeketa Hiking Club. He was a member of the Meterite Camera Club. He graduated from Willamette University Law School and received his master’s degree in business at Oregon State University. He had lived in the Portland area for the past six years.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy, Portland; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rollin Beaver, Independence; sister, Carolyn Metcalf, Port Angeles, Wash.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Zena Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Howell-Edwards-Doerksen mortuary.
