OBITUARY: 

Sidney W. Rogers, 92, of Salem, died Sunday. He was born in Hazana, Ark, and moved to Salem in 1969 from Williams, Calif. He was a retired railroad mechanic and a World War I army veteran. Survivors include his son, Clayton of Salem; and sisters Nancy Gibbs, Waldon, Ark, and Voiazie Harkey, Oxnard, Calif. Graveside services will begin at 2 pm Wednesday at Spring Valley Cemetery. Howell-Edwards-Doerksen is in charge of arrangements. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
