DIED AFTER ONE WEEK WIDOWHOOD
Mrs. Viola Woods, Aged Woman Passes Away at Corvallis General Hospital.
Just one week after the death of her husband, Mrs. Viola Rector Woods passed away this morning at the Corvallis General Hospital. Mrs. Woods had been ill from pneumonia, in earlier years has suffered two paralytic strokes, and these, with other complications, resulted in her death. The funeral will be held from Bovee's parlors at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, and the remains will then be forwarded to Salem for interment beside the grave of the late Mr. Woods, whose funeral  was held there last Sunday.
Mrs. Woods, was 73 years of age on the 10th of this months. With Mr. Woods and her family she had spent many years of her life at Spring Hill Farm, a beautiful country home in north Benton county, but in recent years had been quite frail and had given up all activities.
Mrs. Wood was the mother of Mrs. William Knotts and C. W. Woods of Corvallis, Mrs. Ralph Shepard, E. R. Woods and Mrs. Gilliam of Salem, Mrs. W. E. Gender, Ms. Schraeder, of Camas, Washington, all well known here, and there are other members of the family in Washington.
Mr. Woods died last week at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W. E. Gender, in Camas, his death from heart disease coming as a surprise to his family and friends.
