Ruth B. Wilton, July 18, 1917-June 12, 1991

Ruth B. Wilton, 73, of Salem died Wednesday in Salem. She was born in Saginaw, Mich. In 1942 she came to Salem from California. She was a Marion County deputy sheriff for seven years, retiring in 1971. She married Allen Wilton on Oct 11, 1933; he died in 1987. She enjoyed crocheting and playing bingo. Survivors include her sons, Earl of Salem and Floyd of Klamath Falls; daughters, Linda Welch of Keizer and Dolores Radcliff of Salem; brother, Charles Sanger of Nebraska; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Services will begin at 10:30 am Saturday in Howell-Edwards-Doerksen mortuary. Private interment will be in Zena Cemetery, west of Salem.
