OBITUARY: 

Henry Elvin White died at his home near Battle Ground, Wn, July 25, at the age of 64 years, 6 months and 29 days. He was born on December 26, 1874, in Polk county, and was the son of Millard F. and Mary A. White, pioneers of that district. He spent his boyhood and early life in Polk county, attending Lafayette Academy at Lafayette. He was married to Hatta Cooper on January 14, 1899 at Salem. During his later years he lived in various parts of Oregon, having been in Tillamook county the majority of the time, where he was interested in various businesses. He will be remembered as one quite active in civil affairs and as having held the position of Chief of Police of Tillamook for nine years. Mr White is survived by his wife; two sisters, Gussa Gagne of San Francisco, Calif, and Mrs Myrtle Trent of McMinnville and also three nieces. He was a member of the Christian church and Elks lodge. Funeral services will be held at Macy’s Funeral Home at McMinnville at 1:30 pm, Friday, July 28. Interment will be in the family cemetery at Zena.
