1870 OR CENSUS – Claiborne Walker (51y, b West Virginia, occupation farmer) enumerated with Louisa (38y, b Illinois), Josie (17y b Oregon), Fannie (11y, b Oregon), Virginia (9y, b Oregon) and Fiske (5y, b Oregon) [Note-the minors were children of Wellington & Catherine Walker, Wellington being Claiborne’s brother and Catherine being Louisa’s sister. The children also appear with their parents in the 1870 census of Portland, Multnomah co, Oregon, FA#547]

1900 OR CENSUS – Claiborne C. Walker (b Mar 1819, Virginia, married 50y) enumerated with wife Louisa (b Feb 1831, Illinois, no children); they were listed as uncle and aunt in house of Charles M. Purvine (b July 1862, Oregon, married 4y) his wife Fannie S. (b July 1873, Oregon, mother of 2 children) and their 2 children Walker R. (b Nov 1896, Oregon) and Margarette (b Dec 1898, Oregon)
BIOGRAPHICAL:
Walker, C. C.
Born in Virginia in 1819; removed with his parents to Missouri in 1829, and crossed the plains to Oregon sixteen years later. In 1849 he went to California, accompanied by his brother, W. P. Walker, also an immigrant of 1845, and labored in the mines for a short time. Took a donation land claim in Spring Valley, Polk County, on which he still resides. Occupation farming and fruit-raising; address, Zena, Polk County. Was married July 4, 1850, to Miss Louisa Purvine, an immigrant of 1848.
