OBITUARY: 

Loren L. Swenwold, March 7, 1916-June 24, 1994

Loren L. Swenwold, 78, of Salem died Friday. He was born in Portland and spent most of his life in Salem. A graduate of Salem High School, he served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. On Aug 1, 1943, he married Ida McKinney in Goldsboro, NC. He worked as a machinist for Gerlinger Industries. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and served on the boards for the Union Gospel Mission and Local and State Evangelism. Survivors include his wife; son, David of Salem; daughters, Diane Miska of Portland and Loretta Swanson of Madras; and six grandchildren. Services will begin at 1 pm Tuesday in Howell-Edwards-Doerksen mortuary; Interment will be in Zena Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Union Gospel Mission or Child Evangelism Fellowship.
