1870 OR CENSUS – Clara Starbuck (13y, b Iowa) enumerated with Elisha (56y, b Ohio, occupation farmer), Susan (39y, b Ohio), Polly (17y, b Indiana), Laura (5y, b Oregon), Cicero (4y, b Oregon), Frank (1y, b Oregon), Thomas (26y, b Ohio) and John (25y, b Ohio)

1st MARRIAGE - Mr. [Hiram] Alonzo Skinner & Miss Clara Starbuck md 30 Dec 1874 at house of E. Starbuck; W. H. Ray, J.P. Wit: B. S Ward & T. H. Starbuck.
[Alonzo is listed as a married teacher living with his parents in 1880 Clara is not enumerated with them, but there is a 4 year old son, living there with him it appears that they divorced between 1879-1881]

1880 OR CENSUS – Clara Skinner (23y, b Iowa) enumerated with daughter Edna (2y, b Oregon), parents Elisha Starbuck (61y, b Ohio, occupation farmer) and Susan (49y, b Ohio) and 3 siblings, Laura (15y, b Oregon), Cicero (14y, b Oregon) and Frank (11y, b Oregon)

NOTE – Clara and her first husband Hiram Alonzo Skinner were divorced. They were the parents of Edna Edgar. Hiram remarried to Mrs Rebecca (Harper) Squier. He died 11 Mar 1900 in West Salem and was buried in Lee Mission Cemetery.

2nd MARRIAGE - George W. McCamey (of Linn Co.) md Clara Skinner 17 Oct 1899 in Polk Co., Oregon.

1910 OR CENSUS – Clara McCamey (52y, b Iowa, married 11y but husband not listed with her; no children)

1920 OR CENSUS – Clara McCamey (62y, b Iowa) enumerated with husband George W. (61y, b Wisconsin, occupation laborer)

NOTE – second husband George W. McCamey died 28 Oct 1930 at Oregon State Hospital in Salem and was buried in Hilltop Cemetery at Independence [obituary Independence Enterprise 31 Oct 1930]

BIOGRAPHICAL - Obit for Clara's father, Elisha Starbuck:
Pioner Of Three States Passes Away
Elisha Starbuck, aged 94,. of The Dalles, wh died Fbruary 15, was born in Ohio. He married Polly Ann Haughey in 1842 and resided with his wife at Wilmington, Ohio, entering the business of brickmaking. To them four children were born. Three are still living, T. H. Starbuck, Dallas; Mrs. Sarah J. Ward, Independence, and Mrs. Emily Dougherty, Salem. His wife died in 1850.
He married Susan Pearson, of Marion, Ind. in 1851, and moved to Indiana, later moving to Black Hawk County, Iowa. In 1863 he crossed the plains to Oregon, arriving at Salem in August of that year. In 1866 he cleard a farm five miles from Salem, where he lived until 1903, when he moved to Portland, where he lived until 1909, when his second wife died. Then he moved to The Dalles.
Six children were born to his second wife, five of whom are living, Mrs. Polly A. Frizzell, of Portland; Mrs. Clara McCamey, of Independence; Mrs. Laura Ruble, of Centralia, Wash.; Claude Starbuck, of San Francisco, and Frank E. Starbuck, of Portland.
