Karl W. Harritt
Karl W. Harritt, 78, 1952 Brush College Rd. NW, member of a pioneer Brush College family, died Thursday night at a Salem hospital.
He had been a life-long resident of the Brush College community northwest of Salem but since retirement from Tidewater Oil Co. 10 years ago he resided at Nelscott.
His grandfather, Jesse Harritt, came to the area in 1846 and was a circuit riding minister.
Survivors include his widow, Alves; daughter Mrs. Marjorie Dodge, Salem, son Delbert B. Harritt, Arcata, Calif.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Barrick Funeral Home, with burial in Zena Cemetery.
