OBITUARY: 

Frances L. Burns, January 23, 1905-August 19, 2004

Sublimity – formerly of Salem. She was born on Jan 23, 1905 to Walter B. and Minnie Hunt and died Thursday from complications of pneumonia at the age of 99. She grew up and attended schools in Ft Rock, LaPine, and Salem. She married Theodore Burns on Nov 7, 1925. He died July 6, 1972. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, needlework and flowers. She was a past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #175, and a member of the West Salem United Methodist Church. Survivors include daughters, Marion Gitschlag of Sublimity and Viola Noble of Coos Bay; a son, Theodore Burns Jr of Eugene; a sister, Helen McClure of Salem; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 2 pm Mon, Aug 23, 2004 at Zena Cemetery. Barrick Funeral Home, Salem, is in charge of arrangements.
