OBITUARY:
Gregory B. Blankenbaker, 9, son of Mr and Mrs Wayne Blankenbaker, died Thursday in Salem. Death was from leukemia. The boy was born January 19, 1950, in Dallas and the family had lived at Pedee, Falls City and in Salem the past two months at 2325 South Commercial street. He had been a patient at Salem Memorial hospital. Surviving are the parents, a sister Pamela and a brother Stanley, both at home. Grandparents are Mr and Mrs O.N. Burbank, Monmouth, and Mr and Mrs I.D. Blankenbaker, Salem. Services were Monday afternoon at the Bollman Funeral Chapel with burial at Womer cemetery, Pedee. A large group of friends and relatives from the communities where the family had resided attended.
