OBITUARY: 

Dallas Wayne Blankenbaker, 57, of 14175 SW 112th St, Tigard, died in Meridian Park Hospital at Tualatin, Oregon on Tuesday evening, March 10. He was born in Inavale, Nebraska on July 13, 1923 the son of Ivan and May Stratton Blankenbaker. He attended schools in the Pedee-Kings Valley area. He served in the army during World War II. He married Vivian Burbank on Jan 20, 1951, in Corvallis. The family lived in Eugene prior to moving to Tigard in 1970 where Mr Blankenbaker was employed by Georgia-Pacific. Surviving are his wife, Vivian of Tigard, son Stan of Tigard, daughter, Penny Lowther of Philomath, mother, May Blankenbaker of Boise, Idaho, brothers, Jack and Bill of Salem, Bobby of Phoenix, Ariz, sisters Lois Kubena of Boise, Idaho, Nadine Witherspoon of Salem, Jo Coburn of Salem and Iva Snieder of Lincoln City, along with three grandsons. Services were held March 14 at 1 pm in the Bollman Funeral Home in Dallas, with Stan Sullivan and Tom Hinkle officiating and burial was in the Womer Cemetery at Pedee.
