Ubie William Badillo, Nov 20, 1948-Dec 11, 2012
Ubie William Badillo, 64, of Monmouth died Dec 11 in Monmouth. He was born in Glendale, Calif, to Ubaldo and Alma Badillo. Ubie served in the Army for 13 years and 4 months, earning a National Defense Service Medal and a Vietnam Service Medal. He was an active volunteer for AWANA for more than 17 years and attended Monmouth Christian Church. A faithful and humble man, Ubie had a servant’s heart. He enjoyed reading and history, and was a sports statistician enthusiast. Survivors include his mother, Alma Murphy of Monmouth; sisters, Almita Hartman of Dallas, Lydia Stingley of Reedsport, Cynthia Roth of Maui, Hawaii, Donna Walden of Minden, Nev, and Diane Bailey of Switzerland; brothers, David Badillo and John Murphy, both of Dallas, and Mike Murphy of Oregon; and his life partner Liz Stone of Monmouth.
