OBITUARY: 

Arabel Bahler Kotovsky, 98, former resident of 109 LaCreole Drive, Dallas, died December 19 in an Independence nursing home. She was born on February 5, 1879 the daughter of Bem and Mary Seely while traveling on the Oregon Trail in the Oregon Territory. She married Louis Bahler in the year 1900 at Sherwood. She lived in Estacada for several years, moving to Dallas in 1966 and to Independence in 1970. Surviving relatives are one son, Dale Bahler of Monmouth; five grandchildren, Forrest Bahler of Dallas, Sharon Klamath of Portland, Raymond Bahler of Corvallis, Allan Bahler of Salem and Betty Bahler of California; 13 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 pm Wednesday, December 21 in the Bollman Funeral Home with burial in Womer Cemetery, Pedee.
