OBITUARY: 

George Edward Bevens, 83, 603 Orchard Avenue, Dallas, died Monday July 26 at a Dallas hospital following a short illness. Born in Kings Valley, he had been a Willamette Valley resident all of his life. He was a salesman for Adolf’s Electric in Dallas, before retiring in 1953. Surviving are sisters Mrs Opal Campbell of Grants Pass and Mrs Lillie Vance of Medford; and a brother Ted of Prospect. Services were held Thursday, July 29, at the Dallas mortuary, Rev Forrest Damron officiating. Interment was in Womer cemetery at Pedee.
