OBITUARY: 

Lena Myrtle Turner, 82, Monmouth died Monday, Dec 18 at a local nursing home. She was born in Salem Nov 14, 1885, the daughter of John and Olive Ronco Dyer. In 1901 she married Benjamin F. Turner in Dallas. He died in 1944. They had lived in the Pedee area most of their life except for a period in Maupin. Funeral services were held in the Bollman Funeral Home, Wednesday at 1:30 pm. Burial was in the Womer cemetery at Pedee. Surviving are her son, Darrel Turner of Gladstone; daughters, Vera Ziebeck of Monmouth, Jeanne Wall of Maupin, Greatha Cooper of Reno, and Lena Tulles of Anchorage; a brother, Arthur Dyer of Monmouth; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
