OBITUARY: EDNA LEONE DICKASON -- June 27, 1913 - Sept. 10, 1992.
Hoskins -- Edna Leone Dickason, 79, died Tuesday in her home. She was born in Rock Creek and raised in Arlington. She lived in Albany before moving to Hoskins several years ago. She retired in 1978 as salad chef at Oregon State University.
She married George Dickason on Jan. 17, 1955; he died on March 24 this year.
She was a member of the Luckiamute Service Club and in 1968 she earned her college degree in Women of the Moose, Corvallis Chapter No. 136. She also enjoyed canning and crocheting, and was a member of Pedee Evangelical Church.
She is survived by her sons, Gary Peacock of Marion, Virginia, Orval Dickason of Forest Grove and Dwane Dickason of Philomath; daughter, Leota Hutsell of Philomath; brothers Dewey "Leroy" Byerley of Sacramento, California, and Elton "Wes" Byerley of Concord, California; sister Glenna Mix of Citrus Heights, California; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will begin at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the church. Private interment will be at Womer Cemetery, Pedee. Contributions may be made to Benton Hospice or to the church. Arrangements are by DeMoss-Durdan mortuary, Corvallis.
