Nov 1857 in Oregon, and his wife of 19 years, Clarinda, age 34, mother of 3, b. Feb 1866 in Oregon, along with Ella, age 17, b. Dec 1882 in Oregon, and Peter, age 11, b. Oct 1888 in Oregon.  Also enumerated with the family is Sarrah, identified as mother [of Lewis], age 74, widowed, mother of 12 children 7 of whom are living at the time of the census, b. Aug 1825 in Pennsylvania.

1930 OR CENSUS - Anna Arnold, age 43, married at age 17, b. Oregon, is enumerated with husband Robert B. Arnold, age 50, married at age 24, occupation farmer, b. Kansas, along with Lucile, age 15, b. Oregon, Robert, age 11, b. Oregon, Verda, age 9, b. Oregon, and Debney, age 4, b. Oregon. Also enumerated with the family is Lewis Ritner, identified as father-in-law [of Robert], age 73, widowed, b. Oregon.

Julia Ann Arnold, age 60, passed away in a Dallas hospital Saturday at noon following an illness of only four days. The daughter of Lewis and Clarinda Edelman Ritner, she was born at Pedee June 5, 1866 [sic; 1886], and lived most of her life in that community. On December 23, 1903, she was united in marriage to Robert B. Arnold. Seven children were born to them, four of whom survive, two daughters, Mrs Howard Perry of Route 1, Monmouth and Mrs Robert Hanna, Salem; two sons, Debney Arnold, Route 1, Monmouth and Robert Arnold of Redmond; one sister, Mrs Frank Sheythe of Pedee and one brother, Peter M. Ritner of Sisters. There are also two granddaughters. Mr Arnold passed away in 1934. Mrs Arnold had remained on the farm until she sold it last spring. She had lived for a time with Mrs Blanche Fenton in Dallas. Mrs Arnold was a member of the Evangelical church. Funeral services were held at the Keeney Funeral chapel in Corvallis Wednesday afternoon with Rev E.A. Fogg officiating. Interment was in the family plot in the Womer cemetery at Pedee.
