OBITUARY: 

Rittie Ellen Kerber, Monmouth died in a Dallas Nursing Home Friday, Nov 3. She was born April 15, 1880 on the family donation land claim at Ritner near Pedee, the daughter of John and Sarah Morrison Ritner. She married Charles A. Kerber Nov 19, 1898 at her home. He died in 1934. Mrs Kerber lived on the family donation land claim all her life. She was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren church, Rododendrum chapter Order of Eastern star and the White Shrine. Survivors include two daughters, Letha M. Bush, Port Orford, and Grace E. Gage of Lakeside; four sons, Archie Earl Kerber, Gold Beach, John Clell Kerber, Lincoln City, William Homer Kerber, Gold Beach, and Fritz C. Kerber, Monmouth; one brother, Fred C. Ritner, Salem; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov 7 at 2 pm in the Bollman Funeral Home with Rev John Sills officiating. Interment was in the Womer cemetery at Pedee.
