Edna Izetta Turner, a former resident of Vancouver, Wash, died in a Salem convalescent home Saturday, Oct 28. She was born Jan 2, 1882 in Smith Co, Kan, the daughter of Alva and Emma Mitchell Womer. She married William Troy Turner in Kings Valley, Oct 2, 1900. He died Dec 12, 1959. She made her home in Pedee from 1900 to 1958 when she moved to Vancouver to be near her son. Survivors include two grandsons, Keith Glen Turner, Portland, and Kent Francis Turner, Vancouver; two sisters, Eva Burbank, Pedee, and Winnie Fletcher, Salem; one daughter-in-law, Mary Turner, Vancouver; and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov 1 in the Bollman Funeral Home with Rev Charles Ludwig officiating. Interment was in the Womer cemetery at Pedee.
