OBITUARY: 
Allen Leo Weston, 70, of Independence, died October 16. He had been taken ill two days earlier at work. 
He was born in Linnton, now in Portland, Oregon on June 4, 1905, the son of Lewis and Ella Kruger Weston. He was one of twin boys, his twin brother died November 3, 1966 in Seattle. He attended Portland schools and lived most of his life in Oregon. A cabinetmaker in the Salem area for the past 30 years he established Weston Woodworking later moving to Independence in 1967 and later to Monmouth last summer. He was the grandson of David Weston, an 1842 Oregon pioneer who settled at Champoeg. 
He is survived by his wife, Sarah “Babe” Holt Weston of Independence; son Allen L. Jr of Portland; daughter Mrs. Orville (Marion) Dailey of San Antonio, Texas; sister, Amy Weston of Portland; brothers, A.F. Weston of Salem, William Weston of Canby, Kenneth Weston of Amity and Daniel Weston of Milwaukie, nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services were October 20 at 2 pm in the Bollman Funeral Home with Rev Gordon Milldrum officiating and burial was in the Brown Pioneer Cemetery in Dallas.
