OBITUARY: 
Vera “Leona” Bouyear, 90, died March 29 in a Gladstone nursing home. She was born in Dallas on January 17, 1898, the daughter of William H. and Jennie Paul Brown. She lived in the Dallas area and married A.H. Alsip who preceded her in death. Later she married Isaac Bouyear who died in 1959. She lived in Portland and West Linn areas for many years. She was an accomplished seamstress. Surviving are her sons: Hal Alsip of West Linn and Jerry Bouyear of Vancouver, Wash; step-son, Warren Bouyear of Huntsville, Texas; brother, John Brown of Reno, Nevada; sisters, Betty Miller of Kelso, Wash, Sarah Evans and Retta Morrison, both of Independence, and Reva Lockling of Salem. Preceding her in death were her daughter, Dorothy Spainhauer, and brothers Ed and Paul. Services will be Saturday, April 2, at 1 pm in Bollman Funeral Home Interment will be in Brown Cemetery.
