OBITUARY: 
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Henkle & Bollman chapel for Mrs Jacob Hanson, 80, who passed away November 13. Rev N.C. Swenson of the Apostolic Faith church officiated and interment was in the Brown cemetery near Dallas. Mrs Hanson (Emma Frances Marks) was born February 10, 1863, in Clackamas county. She married Jacob Hanson April 25, 1882. They were the parents of nine children, five of whom survive. Mr Hanson passed away in Dallas in 1923. Mrs Hanson has made her home here for the past 40 years. The four surviving sons and one daughter are Charles R. Hanson, Australia; Harold J., Portland; Bryan J., Yakima, Wash; John M., Alsea, and Mrs Beryl M. Pierce, Portland. There are 16 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. One brother, John R. Marks, resides at Canby and a sister, Mrs Bertha Graves, at Portland.
