OBITUARY: 
Emily M. Van Dyke, Oct. 29, 1893-Feb. 26, 1991 Emily M. Van Dyke, 97, of Albany, died Tuesday. She was born to William David and Mary Eliza (Haynes) Kelley in Athena, GA. She graduated from normal school in Athens and taught elementary school there for two years. During World War I she monitored mail for the military in Washington, DC, were she met Henry Van Dyke. They were married March 6, 1920, in Pittsburgh, PA. The Van Dykes lived in Pittsburgh, Detroit, and Battle Creek, Michigan, before moving to Corvallis in 1964. Mr Van Dyke died in March 1977 in Corvallis. Surviving are daughter Lucy Martin of Albany; sons Henry of Corvallis and William of Lawrence, KS; 12 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Three siblings died before her. A memorial service will be at 1:30 pm Sunday at Mrs Van Dyke’s most recent residence, Gramma’s House, 704 38th Ave SE, Albany. Memorials can be made to World Vision.
