Gula Elzina Hedgepeth of Culver died Dec 9 in her home. She was 88. Born in Okanogan, Wash, to Gilbert and Elzina Willson Elder, she married Clint Hedgepeth in 1935 at Williams. An artist and a teacher, she taught art at her home, at Central Oregon Community College in Bend and Chemeketa Community College in Salem. Survivors include her husband, Lloyd Orbach of Culver; daughters, Joan Galbraith of Salem and Olive Williams of Lakeview; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services were held Dec 12 at the Friends Church in Metolius. Private interment was at Smith Cemetery in Monmouth. Farnstrom Mortuary of Independence handled the arrangements.
