Mr. Ford was born October 23, 1875, in the Bridgeport community, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ford. The parents crossed the plains as early pioneers. They hewed the logs and tilled the soil for the home they occupied during their lifetime. William Ford was their last survivor. He was a farmer and loved the occupation. When it became time for him to retire, he regretted that his failing health made it impossible for him to continue as a farmer.
