She was 54 years old.  Julie was born on September 6, 1951 in Dallas, Oregon to Elmer and Delores Schlenker. She grew up and attended schools in Toledo, Oregon. After high school she went to work for the State of Oregon Department of Transportation retiring in 1993. Julie enjoyed flowers, shopping QVC, spending time with family and friends and traveling, especially to Grand Canyon and the Hawaiian islands.  Survivors include her husband, Steven Dutoit of Monmouth whom she married in August on 1979 and a sister, Cherry Hanson of Siletz, Oregon. A Celebration fo Life Service will be held at 11 am Fri, March 24, 2006 at Farnstrom Mortuary in Independence. Reception will follow the service at the Independence Elks Lodsge.
