Steele mnd 20 Nov 1893, Polk co, Oregon OBITUARY:  Died at his home near Bridgeport, Monday, January 20, 1896, Mr. Wycliffe H. Grant, aged 30 years.  Mr. Grant was seized with a violent attack of rheumatism about two weeks ago, and his ailment developed into a complication of diseases and he grew rapidly worse until death came to his relief. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Grant and a brother of our City Marshal J. M. Grant. He was married in 1893 to Miss Jessie Steele, an estimable young lady of Suver. “Wick,” as he was familiarly known, has a host of friends who mourn his departure.
