OBITUARY: 

Funeral Services for George H. Bronson. 90, of Tualatin, who died June 6 at his home, were at 10:30 am June 9 in Attrell’s Sherwood funeral chapel. The Rev. Otis Hardin, pastor of the Methodist church in Sherwood, officiated. Interment was in Smith cemetery, Monmouth. 
Bronson was born, the son of David Ostrom Bronson and the former Mary Jane Dempsey, on May 13, 1881 in Polk Country. He grew up in this area and attended Dallas College and Holmes Business College in Portland. He worked in abstract office at Roseburg from 1900 to 1901. He farmed briefly in Polk County then worked in Sibley and Eakin abstract office in Dallas. 
In 1971 [sic] he went into the lumber business and owned and operated the Bronson Lumber Co. at Albany until retirement many years ago. He was a member of the First Christian church in Albany. Survivors include two daughters Garlin Eckles of Tualatin and Mildred R. Morrison of Portland; one granddaughter, Penny Eckles of Tualatin and several nieces and nephews.
