Grove of Salem); William & Hazel appear in 1940 census of Hayesville, Marion Co, Oregon, which gives his age as 47y, birthplace Texas and 1935 residence as Long Beack, Calif
2nd MARRIAGE - Percy Logan Lewis & Grace Grove m 14 Sept 1940, Polk Co, Oregon
Graveside services for Mrs Grace Lewis, Pomona, Calif, 72, were conducted Wednesday at 2 pm at Smith cemetery with Rev Edward Healey officiating. Services were held Monday at Todd Memorial chapel in Pomona. Mrs Lewis died December 1 at Pomona. She was born November 14, 1894 in Oklahoma. Her parents were Alonzo Joslen and Margaret Stiva. She married Percy Lewis and he preceded her in death Dec 19, 1948. She lived in Hillsboro and Beaverton and resided in Willamina and Monmouth from 1930 until 1943. For the past three years she had made her home in Pomona. Survivirs include two sons, W.H. Grove, Phoenix, and L.L. Grove, Milwaukie, Ore; daughters, Mrs G.A. McGill, Stockton, Calif, and Mrs P.D. Armstrong, Pomona, Calif; 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Interment was under the direction of the Bollman Funeral Home.
