OBITUARY:
Henrietta Ardeth Richards, Dec. 9, 1895-Nov. 24, 1992
Henrietta Ardeth Richards, 96, of Salem died Tuesday. She was born and raised in Prosser, Wash. She lived in Corvallis and Dallas before moving to Salem. She married Walter Richards on Jan. 15, 1917, in Yakima, Wash; he died in September 1974. She was a farmer. She was a member of Christ Church of Monmouth and belonged to Willamette Grange. She was also active in many senior citizen programs. Survivors include her daughter, Marcella M. Pfeifer of Salem; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Visiting will be from noon to 7 pm Friday in Restlawn mortuary. Private graveside services will be held Saturday at Smith Cemetery in Monmouth. Memorial services will begin at 1:30 pm Saturday in the church. Contributions may be made to the church or to Monmouth Medics, 1800 Monmouth Ave, Independence, Ore 97351.
