OBITUARY: 
Minerva Glasener, wife of John A. Glasener, died at the family residence at Hoskins Thursday evening, March 3, following a lingering illness of many years duration. Mrs. Glasener was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Yiley, and she was born at Marshall, Illinois, October 24, 1857. 
Although an invalid for many years, Mrs. Glasener’s kind and gentle disposition won for her many friends and she was an inspiration to all with whom she came in contact. 
Besides her husband she is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Dora Lewis, Hoskins, Mrs. Mattie Edmonston, Stayton, and Mrs. May Termain of West Union, Illinois. 
Funeral services under the direction of Funeral Director A.L. Keeney of Independence were held at the Smith cemetery near Lewisville, Sunday, March 8 at 11 a.m., Rev V.A. Ballantyne officiating.

MRS. J. A. GLASENER DIES AT HOSKINS
Mrs. Minerva Glasener, wife of John A. Glasener, died at the family home at Hoskins Thursday evening, March 3. She had been an invaldi for 35 years. 
Mrs. Glasener was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Yiley [Yeley], and was born at Marshall, Illinois, October 24, 1857, and came to Oregon about 50 years ago, residing for many years in the Luckiamute country. 
Beside[s] the husband, Mrs. Glasener is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Dora Lewis, Hoskins; Mrs. Mattie Edmonston, Stayton; Mrs. May Termain, West Union, Illinois. 
Funeral services under the direction of A. L. Keeney were held at the Smith cemetery, near Lewisville, March 6, at 11 a.m., Rev. B. A. Ballantyne officiating. 
In spite of her long invalidism, Mrs. Glasener was a remarkable woman and noted for her cheerful aspect, which won for her many admiring and enduring friends.
