Mabel Dutoit, Aug 30, 1906-June 30, 1999
Mabwel Arminta Dutoit of Monmouth died June 30 at her home. She was 92. She was born in Clear Lake to William and Bertha Bair Clement. A graduate of Salem High School, she earned her teaching certificate from Oregon Normal School. She was a teacher in Clear Lake. A Polk County resident since 1940, she moved to Monmouth in 1948. She worked at Criders in Monmouth as a store clerk for 20 years. A member of the Monmouth Evangelical Church, she enjoyed reading and yard work. Survivors include her sons, Don of Dutoit of Arlington, Wash, Jim Dutoir of Canby, and Steve Dutoit of Monmouth; a brother, Bob Clement of Silverton; sisters, Bert Green of Seattle and Nele Greg of Albany; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services were held July 3 at Farnstrom Mortuary. Private interment followed at Smith Cemetery in Monmouth. Memorial contributions may be made to the Monmouth Evangelical Church, 191 N Monmouth Ave, Monmouth, OR 97361.
