OBITUARY: Mrs. Burns' Death
Mrs. William J. Burns of Luckiamute met with a serious accident which resulted in death on Sunday last. While coming from church accompanied by her husband in a one-horse buggy, the horse by some reason got frightened and proceeded to kick and run. Fearing danger by remaining in the buggy, Mrs. Burns at the request of her husband jumped from the vehicle and alighting, fell face down on some oak grub stumps. She received injuries which resulted in death in a few hours. Mrs. Burns was a bride of but eight months and was loved by the whole community for her loving ways and kindly disposition. Her funeral took place on Tuesday last and her flower bedecked casket was borne to the grave by a large crowd of sympathizing friends and neighbors. Her bereaved husband and friends have the sympathy of the whole community.
