OBITUARY: 
Fir Grove: Annie K. Kau died suddenly at her home at Fir Grove early Sunday morning. She was born in Wisconsin May 29, 1856. When she was a young girl the family came to Oregon and settled in the Bridgeport section. Later they moved to Fir Grove, where they have spent nearly 50 years. Miss Kau was greatly loved by all who knew her. Since her parents’ death over 25 years ago she has made a home for three of her brothers, Lewie, John and Frank. She is survived by six brothers, Fred of Sodaville, Charles of Buena Vista, A.M. (Ott) of Elmira, and the boys at home, and one sister, Mrs Tillie Frantz of Hoskins, also six nephews and eight nieces. Funeral services were held at Montgomery cemetery Wednesday afternoon at one o’clock.

Funeral services for Anna Kau were held at Lewisville Wednesday afternoon at 1 o’clock with Rev J.L. Burns officiating. Burial was in the Montgomery cemetery. Miss Kau was born in Wisconsin, May 29, 1857. The family came to Oregon and settled in McTimmonds Valley over fifty years ago. Miss Kau lived with her three bachelor brothers and is also survived by three other brothers, one living at Sodaville, another at Elmire and the third at Buena Vista. A sister, Mrs Frantz, lives at Hoskins. Walter Smith had charge of the funeral.
