Infant Matheny
LAST NAME: Matheny FIRST NAME: Infant MIDDLE NAME:  NICKNAME:
MAIDEN NAME:  AKA 1:  AKA 2:  AKA 3:
GENDER:  TITLE:
BORN: 25 Sept 1911 DIED: 26 Sept 1911 BURIED: 28 Sept 1911 (Montgomery Cemetery)
OCCUPATION:
BIRTH PLACE:  Airlie, Polk Co, Oregon
DEATH PLACE: Airlie, Polk Co, Oregon
NOTES:
This was probably an infant child of Riley Pernum Mathany and Anna C. (Hall) Mathany who appear in the 1910 and 1920 census of Luckiamute precinct, Polk Co, Oregon. They later moved into Monmouth. Riley died 29 Nov 1948 and Anna died 1 Nov 1953. Both are buried in Belcrest cemetery in Salem (obits Independence Enterprise 3 Dec 1948 & 6 Nov 1953). Riley had a brother Alvin Mathany who appears in the 1910 census of Corvallis, Benton Co, Oregon. They were sons of Robert & Margaret Mathany, and appear with their parents in the 1900 census of Wren, Benton Co, Oregon. There was no T.J. Mathany in the family, which suggests the T.J. Matheny listed in the obituary was an error for R.P. Mathany.

The funeral service was held at Airlie this afternoon at 2 o’clock, interment being in Montgomery cemetery. S.M. Wood of Corvallis officiated at the service. The father is a brother of Alvin Matheny, of this city, and he and wife have many friends here who will deeply regret to learn of their bereavement. They have the sympathy of the community.
