OBITUARY: 
Norman Claude Hand, 66, 10865 Brateng Rd, Monmouth, died Friday. He was born Sept 10, 1916, in Lang, Saskatchewan, Canada, and came to Monmouth in 1980 from Los Angeles, Calif. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge #1788, Landers, Calif, and Teamsters Local #389 in Los Angeles. He had worked as a truck driver. Surviving relatives are his son, Norman Hand of Portland; daughters, Pat Brumfield of Largo, Fla, and Jonny Borlin of Monmouth; sisters, Marg Siebel of Portland, Gladys Hansen of Joshua Tree, Calif, and Phillis Hand of Alaska; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Graveside funeral services were held Monday at Fir Crest Cemetery [sic; English] in Monmouth. Contributions may be made to the Mooseheart or Holt Adoption Project, Eugene.
