Clifford Earl Coffelt, Oct. 11, 1922-Oct. 6, 1998 
MONMOUTH – Clifford Coffelt, 75, died Tuesday. 
He was born in Ravenwood, Mo, and moved to Ballston in 1932. He served in the Navy in 1941. From 1952, he lived in Valsetz and was a quality assurance representative for the Department of Defense until retiring. He moved to the Monmouth-Independence area in 1962. He enjoyed press printing, canning and preparing taxes for other people. 
Survivors include his sons, Cliff Jr. of Wisconsin, and Donn Scott of Dallas; daughter, Debra Gillis of Deer Island; brothers, Richard of Springfield, Darrel of Dallas, Allen of Willamina; sister, Betty Beier of Forest Grove,; and seven grandchildren. Services will be 2 pm Saturday in Bollman Funeral Home in Dallas. Interment will be in Smith Cemetery [sic: English] in Monmouth Visiting will be 11 am to 1 pm Saturday in the mortuary in Dallas.
