Louise Link, Jan. 24, 1921-July 16, 1999
Louise Link of Dallas died July 16 at her home. She was 78. 
She was born in Grand Forks, ND, to Harris and Olive Routely Hart. The family moved to Portland when she was 4. 
She was a graduate of Oregon City High School and Mt Angel College. She married Bill Link on July 7, 1941 in Portland. They were married 58 years. 
Graduating college magna cum laude with a degree in elementary education, she devoted her teaching career to Catholic school education – primarily to fourth and fifth grades at St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Salem. 
Living in Salem since 2960, she moved to Dallas in 1994. Her family and her faith were the most important things in her life. She enjoyed reading, cooking, sewing, gardening, helping people and going to the beach. She loved walking on the beach with the wind in her face and hair. 
Survivors include her husband, Bill Link of Dallas; a son, Richard J. Link of Salem; daughters, Dr Jannice Link-Jobe of Monmouth and Nancy Lea Link of Dallas; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. 
Mass of Christian Burial was held July 19 at St Philip Catholic Church in Dallas. Interment followed in English Cemetery in Monmouth. 
Memorial contributions may be made to a fund in her name in care of Bollman Funeral Home in Dallas which will provide reading books for needy children.
