OBITUARY: 

Services were held from the Walter L. Smith mortuary Wednesday for Fred G. Adams who died in Monmouth Monday, Sept 17, at the age of 71 years. Rev John W. Hood officiated at the services and interment was in the Old English cemetery south of Monmouth. Fred G. Adams, son of Azariah and Mary Adams, was born July 18, 1880 at South Charleston, Ohio, and came to Oregon in 1912, spending a few years here, then moved to California where he was married to Sarah A. Taylor on Mary 14, 1917. They returned to Oregon in 1920 making their home in Silver Lake, Oregon. 
Mr. Adams followed the barber trade for many years and the last 15 years of his working life was spent with the Fremont national forest service in Lake county. 
Mrs. Adams passed away on August 23, 1949. He is survived by one brother and two sisters, Earl Adams of Bly, Oregon; Mrs. Ethel Koch and Mrs. Rella Jackson, both of Harrisburg, Oregon.
