OBITUARY:
Independence – Mary Ellen O’Kelley, 88, of 384 3rd St., died Wednesday at an Independence nursing home. Born in Arco, Idaho, she lived here since 1924. She was a longtime employee of Williams’ Drug Store in Independence and for several years she and her husband had operated a grocery store at Hoskins in northern Benton County. Survivors are widower Charles; brother John Boyle, Salida, Colo. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Parmenter mortuary, Rev. Howard Smith officiating. Interment will be in English Cemetery, Monmouth.
