OBITUARY:
Independence – Charles Lee O’Kelley, 384 3rd St., died Saturday in an Independence nursing home at age 91.
A native of Lewisville, southeast of Falls City, he farmed in Idaho for several years and later operated a grocery store in Hoskins. He came here in 1924 and worked for Valley & Siletz Railroad until his retirement.
Survivors include sister Clara Williams, Independence; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Parmenter mortuary, Rev. Howard Smith officiating. Interment will be in English Cemetery, Monmouth.
