Aug 1883 in Oregon, Burus E., age 15, b. Mar 1885 in Oregon, and Nancy, age 9, b. Apr 1891 in Oregon.  Also enumerated with the family is Nancy Simpson, identified as mother [of Wincy], age 82, widow, mother of 10 children 8 of whom are living at the time of the census, b. Feb 1816 [1812] in North Carolina.

Funeral for Maude Thrasher, a former Philomath resident, who died in Denver Tuesday, will be at 1:30 pm Saturday at McHenry Fuenral Home. She was born in Polk county March 3, 1880. She was married to Theodore M. Thrasher on July 3, 1900, at Monmouth. The couple lived in Falls City and Independence until they moved to Philomath in 1936. Mr Thrasher died in 1951 and she moved to Denver in 1957. Survivors include two sons, Kenneth of Jefferson and Carl W. of Denver; two brothers, Burris Rose of Portland, and Pearl Rose of Seattle; a sister, Mrs Nan Berlin of Olympia, Wash; two grandchildren. Interment will be in the family plot at the New English Cemetery at Monmouth.
