OBITUARY: 

Mrs Eva Edwards, 71, of Kings Valley died in a Salem hospital Monday after a four months’ illness. Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 2 pm from the Henkle and Bollman chapel with Rev B. William Elmer officiating. Burial will be in the Edwards cemetery at Pedee. Mrs Edwards was born January 27, 1878, at Kings Valley, the daughter of Jacob and Carolina Kinsey.  She was married to Lewis Edwards, member of a pioneer family, on April 30, 1898, at Independence. Mrs Edwards made her home in the Pedee community most of her life. Mr Edwards died May 10, 1946. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs Alta Oleman and Mrs Bertha Ogle, both of Corvallis, Mrs Zelda Edwards and Mrs Hattie Edwards, both of Monmouth and Mrs Nettie Graves of Independence; two sons, Sam of Philomath and Arthur of Newport; two sisters, Mrs Ida Wellman of Dallas and Mrs Hettie Dickason of Hoskins; a brother, Walter Kinsey of Dallas and ten grandchildren.
