| NOTES: Name of Father: Benjamin F. Burch Maiden Name of Mother: Eliza Ann Davidson Parents are buried in Hilltop Cemetery. Biography of B.F. Burch (H.K. Hines, History of Oregon (1893), p 994-95) says they were married in 1848 and had 7 children, of whom Samuel & Benjamin Jr lived to adulthood. Samuel has his own marker at Burch, so this marker probably represents the 5 children who died young. One was probably a daughter Mary who appears with her parents in 1850 census of Polk Co (FA#80; age 1y, b Ore) but died prior to the 1860 census |
