1900 NE CENSUS - Minna Palmer, age 44, mother of 3, b. Sep 1856 in Germany, is enumerated with her husband of 10 years, William, age 46, occupation farmer, b. Jul 1854 in Illinois, along with Ernest, age 9, b. Apr 1891 in Nebraska, William, age 7, b. Dec 1892 in Nebraska, and Christel, age 4, b. Dec 1895 in Nebraska.  Also enumerated with the family is Ludwig Book, identified as brother-in-law [of William], age 54, single, occupation farmer, b. Mar 1846 in Germany.

NOTE This grave was later moved to City View cemetery in Salem

Mrs. Palmer, who lived a mile north of here, died Friday night and was buried Tuesday in the Thielson cemetery. She leaves a husband and three children. They have the sympathy of the entire community.

Death of Mrs. Minna B. Palmer
Mrs. Minna B. Palmer passed away at her home near Rickreall, Oregon, January 16, 1914, at the age of 58 years after a lingering illness of many months. Mrs. Palmer was born at Saulfeldt [Saalfeld], Germany, September 20, 1855. She came to America in 1889 and was married to William Palmer the following year at Valentine, Nebraska. Three children were born to this union, Earnest H., Willis C., and Christel E. 
The three children and husband survive her. She was a devoted member of the Lutheran Church all her life, also a kind and loving mother, a true and sincere friend and neighbor, loved by all who knew her. Her death was deeply mourned by all the family. 
In 1912 the family moved from Nebraska to Oregon, where the children are living at present. 
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Hendry at the home, Tuesday morning, January 20, where kind friends had gathered to show last respects to the departed one.
