OBITUARY: Ellis C. Walling, 23, died at a local hospital this morning from injuries suffered Christmas eve in an automobile accident near Newberg. He was a member of a well-known Polk county family. Services will be held from the Clough-Barrick chapel Friday, January 26, at 1:30 pm. Survivors include his parents, Mr and Mrs Jesse Walling; grandparents, Mr and Mrs J.D. Walling; brother, Jesse Walling Jr of Donald; aunts, Mrs James Mott of Salem, Mrs Gertrude Stewart of Oswego, Mrs Eva Purvine of Amity; uncle, Harold Walling of Portland.
